When playing with 7 or 8 players, the starting health and hand size of the players is 2. The scientist survivor says that his health and hand size are 2 less than normal. Also, if the scientist dies, everyone dies and all players lose. So, if the "normal" health of the players is 2 and the scientist's health is 2 less than normal, he starts with 0 health. The definition of health in the key concepts says if a player's health is reduced to 0, he is killed. So if playing 7 or 8 players where 1 player is the scientist, the game begins, the scientist immediately has 0 health, so he dies, and by his card effect, everyone else dies too. Fun game...

While I'm thinking this is probably not the intent, given the brutality of this game, I wouldn't be surprised if this were actually the way it was supposed to work.
