I need help finding a present for my brother. He really enjoys Age Of Steam, Ticket to Ride Europe, PR, Power Grid+expansion, and just purchased Alhambra and Parthenon. He has all the Carcassonne expansions he claims to like as well. Please help...

Hmm...not so easy. What doesn't he like? (avoiding beartraps is a good start).

I have a lack of ideas. Euphrat and Tigris? Not sure.

I'm guessing that Caylus would be a hit with this person.

If he likes Power Grid and Age of Steam, as well as Carcasonne, I bet you anything he'd really enjoy Reef Encounter.

How about something completely different?

A sci-fi or fantasy themed game, maybe (Return of the Heroes, Twilight Imperium 3)? A more combat-oriented game (Axis & Allies, Nexus Ops)?
What about something like Blood Fued or Arkham Horror, or Monsters Menace America?

Of course, some of these games can be pretty expensive, but if it's something you may like, then you might get to keep it for yourself after all ! Or, you could always exchange it, or try selling it here or on ebay.

Sounds like it's time to expand his horizons a little bit.

Good Luck!

The recommendations of Tigris & Euphrates, Caylus, and Reef Encounter all sound like great suggestions to me, you should definitely check out all three of those.

Try Railroad Tycoon, too. We just did and it is a great game. He seems to favor train games anyway so how could you go wrong? The only downside is that the board is huge!

I would also recommend Puerto Rico. It's a game that should be in every gamer's collection.

Caylus is a good choice as well, but fairly unavailable right now.

Age of Steam and Railroad ycoon are very similar... but different. I can't decide wich i like the best.

My group like many of the same games your brother do, and we just played Antike for the first time - big hit.
