Hello everyone,

We've released an updated version of the rules for Stone & Relic. We hope this new ruleset will answer any questions that have popped up from the initial rules.

The rules are printer friendly (both 8.5x11 and A4).

You can download the updated rules here: http://www.smallboxgames.com/rules_stone_relic.pdf

Thanks John.

Though the example at the end still shows the Cities counting toward Scout's kingdom size to get 9 to tie with Jeb. But at least in the text, it says that Cities don't count as structures for largest kingdom and that you officially said that in the other thread.

This version only contains 3 pages, did I miss something?

EDIT: Hum, yes I missed the fact that the layout has been completely overhauled whistle

So, are you therefore not allowed to build Structures next to Cities since a player must place new structures "next to at least 1 other Structure in his kingdom"?

Or are cities still considered Structures for this purpose?

Sorry that this has gone unanswered!

Yes, you *can* build next to a City. We will make sure this is clarified.

Hi John,
in case that there will be another update to the rules whenever, I have a few proposals regarding clarity:

-When we played the first time, we did not realize that 'next to' also allows above and below since we were used to other games where you're only allowed to build left-right. It never says explicitly in the rules, you can only deduce it from the example and the paragraph about monuments.

-This one is valid for all of the new games at least: Either on the box or in the very beginning of the rules it would be helpful to state the supported number of players. For Stone & Relic you have to deduce it from the End of Game conditions of check the Kickstarter page or web page(!) to be sure, similar for Shadow of the Sun.

Other than that, you have created some really nice games there.

Any chance this file could be posted again?

I got this and Valkyrie Incident in their unboxed form years ago, and foolishly read the rules online instead of printing them. Now I find I'd like to refresh my memory, but...

Did some digging on Google and found what looks to be the current rules:
https://docs.wixstatic.com/ugd/6d9e6e_de807159f08f472eaa1431...

Sourced via this page: https://www.smallboxgames.com/stone-relic

Which isn't linked on their main page for some reason
