Hello once again!

After some reading and rec's here at BGG i will buy now these two

Cartagena
Survive: Escape from Atlantis!

however i have about between 10 / 15 € (at most!) to buy a game that should be fun and not too complicated which gonna be played most often with my gf.

I am looking at these:

Jaipur
Mr. Jack Pocket
Hanabi
Spot it!
Archaeology: The Card Game
Raj (maybe not only for 2)
Hey, That's My Fish!

Any recommendation?

I have already for two players:

Hive pocket
Lost Cities

Able for new suggestions by the way!

Thanks a lot.

For me, Hey, That's My Fish! is one of the best value games around. It's great (and it's great with two).

I like Black Sheep because I enjoy a Texas holder poker kind of match and this one has that and the theme and some little extras.

Innovation is tougher but this one is completely worth the effort and usually very cheap. It is more game for your buck than Black Sheep, but Black Sheep was a lot of fun. We like Archaeology: the card game too and are looking forward to Sushi Go!

The science of history is a great bulwark against the stream of Time; in a way it checks this irresistible flood, it holds in a tight grasp whatever it can seize floating on the surface and will not allow it to slip away into the depths of oblivion

Altough i liked the mechanics of Black Sheep i doubt people here would have the same feelings ablut it since they don't like poker anyway never heard about the game and i will keep an eye on it

Innovation besides being a bit more expensive were i am buying, around 20 € has some language dependence so maybe i will not consider it despite it is much refered at forum

Thanks!

You've narrowed it it down to some great choices. I'm going to put a vote in for Jaipur, Hey that's my Fish, and Hanabi. All three are fantastic games, and I'm sure you'll be satisfied regardless of which one you choose.

Perhaps looking closer at player-counts may help you make a decision:
Jaipur is great with two, but only plays with two.
Hanabi is good with two, but much better with three or more.
Hey that's my fish scales very well from 2-4 players, but becomes more chaotic with more players. It is also very cut-throat, so that's something to be aware of - both Hanabi and Jaipur are very peaceful games.

Biblios

A brilliant little card game for 2,3,4 people. Combines a bunch of very clever little mechanics (push your luck, card-drafting, auctions, bluffing) into a quick and easy 20 minutes.

A genius game from an independent designer.

btw, Jaipur is great, but Biblios is better. Less fiddly with richer decisions at every turn.

ps, and my girlfriend loves it. I'll beat her one day...

One of my favorite 2 player game is Arena: Roma II . It involves card activation/dice allocation and is very interactive. It's simple and quick and much more replayable than Jaipur. It is around $20 and is in a fairly small box so is very portable.

Jaipur is fantastic, one we play quite a bit.
Hemloch is one which you haven't mentioned but it's such a good game it would be a shame if you didn't give it a try.

I know that you said the theme of Cold War: CIA vs KGB didn't appeal but the theme is barely there, it's decent, often coming down to a lucky card at just the right time.

Mr. Jack Pocket didn't work for me personally. Everything about it seems right, it just felt a little bit lucky.

Cannot recommend this game enough. Excellent with four players and scales down to two, Great filler game but can also be used as a more substantial play.

Interesting point of view thanks for the explanation, these 3 are probably the games along with Bohnanza which are on my mind for the long time x)

If you have to put them by order of preference can you do it?

Thanks

Thanks for the rec however it looks a bit language dependent which can put my gf with a bad opinion about it even without trying it first xD maybe when i can make her a more frequent gamer i would give it a try

Already saw that one but since it's sold from another seller it will raise the shipping costs so for now i would not consider it
