Richard LeParmentier who played Admiral Motti in Star Wars passed away on Monday. He was 66. His scene in which he was choked by Darth Vader using the force was always one of my favorites.

He also played the role of Bartholomew's (John Houseman) personal assistant (referred to in the film as "The Crocodile") in the futureshock classic, Rollerball.

Shown at right, with John Houseman (Bartholomew) and Shane Rimmer (team manager, Rusty).

I guess he was an American that mostly worked in England while most of the Imperial bad guys were playing by British actors.

I guess he was only about 30 years old when he played the admiral.

He was briefly married to Sarah Douglas who played Ursa in Superman II.

I guess all the force choking and having a wife who was the girlfriend of "Kneel before Zod" can really emasculate and take it out of a guy...
