I really like this game, way more than i expected to. Does just about everything right.

The first time we played, we did it incorrectly though: we held cards back in our hand strategically instead of the mandatory "discard all cards at end of turn" rule.

It was a very different experience than subsequent games, and i have to say that i vastly prefer holding to discarding. Presents additional interesting decisions: hold back cards to wait for combos. Just was a lot more fun.

So if someone else tries this let me know your thoughts!

You might like Rune Age, which has a mechanism for letting you pay to hold on to cards from turn to turn. Virtually all deckbuilders, though, require you to ditch 'em with your played cards.
