If you're thinking Bonaparte at Marengo, this thread is not for you.

I was in a little kids' toy shop one day, and found a game which came with a box of wooden blocks and some cards. The cards depicted buildings which could be made with the blocks. The game was to see how many buildings from different cards you could complete within a time limit. I didn't buy it then, and when I went back to get it, they'd sold it. Since then, I've bought every game I was interested in, because I'm sick of that happening. Anyone know what the game was called? Thank you.

Did you ask the people at the store if they knew what it was?

I've seen a bunch of different variations of this. The one I have the most experience with is called "Wedgits", which my daughter enjoys. But Wedgits definitely isn't the one you saw since the blocks are plastic, not wood. Plus they're not shaped like regular blocks.

Hi John

Sounds like Make'n'Break from Ravensburger (I know I have seen this in Oz toy shops).

Hope you find it

Does the phrase "tits on a bull" mean anything to you? They hardly even believed they'd had it.

That could be right. When the pictures come back, I will know for sure.

Heh heh. I think I already knew the answer to that but I just had to ask. Frustrating, isn't it?

Or it could be Haba's Time Blocks -- that's the one we have. Here's a link: http://sillygoosetoys.com/tiblbyha.html. Oddly enough, I can't find a picture of the box on the web -- just the game itself.
