I'm sure I've seen somewhere a BGG rule about selling games saying that it's forbidden (or at least not recommended) to reply something like "the price is too high [for whatever reason], you should sell for less", but instead you should only send private message to the seller.
I've been looking on the marketplace rules, but now I cannot find it.
Any help, please?

I'm not sure if there's a rule about that (though I wouldn't be surprised if there is) but what I'd do is just geekmail the seller and ask if they are willing to negotiate.

I've found it.

"It is not appropriate to point out that a seller's items are over-priced. Value is in the eye of the bidder. If it is too high for you, move to another auction. If it really bothers you, contact that seller in a private GeekMail."

Suggested etiquitte on a wiki probably isn't getting you suspended or anything, if that's what you're asking, but just PM a mod I guess if you want a real answer.

But like . . . there's etiquitte to selling too, which is don't be a time wasting tool, among other things.

If you want to buy the game, then feel free to try to negotiate a lower price by contacting the seller via geekmail.

If you don't want to buy the game, then drop the rope. It isn't worth getting yourself involved in a brouhaha.

Give me a few minutes and I'll edit the wiki to say you have a moral obligation to call out overpriced items or face the wrath of the Elder Gods. You should be good then.

I do not want to buy or sell an over-priced game.
I was just looking for that (wiki) recommendation, because I wanted to see if it would be accepted as a suggestion on a local forum.
Thank you all.
