Hi, I was looking for a game where it best fit with 2-3 players.

Prefer fantasy thematic games. It can be either co-op or competitive.

You haven't given a lot of specs, but I'll throw in a couple of suggestions:

Legends of Andor or Lord of the Rings for co-op

Merchants & Marauders - not really fantasy but who doesn't love pirates?!
And apparently everyone loves Descent: Journeys in the Dark (Second Edition), though I'm not sure if it'll play well with two.

It really depends what length of game you're looking for, as there are a lot of options.

I already have The Lord of the Rings LCG so dont plan to get another LOTR.
I dont think Descent play very well with 2 players. My friend has it which I dont really found it fun to play. (2 players)

I'm ok with the length, since Arkham Horror is one of my shortlisted item, just trying to look for any alternative choices.

Ticket to Ride: Nordic Countries works best (only) with 2-3. Very cutthroat.

Is language a problem? What games do you already have (fill in the games to your Collection)?

Fantasy/humor: Discworld:Ankh-Morpork is a fun competitive game with plenty of unexpected turns. It has cards, minions, money and buildings, and random events, that do not overpower strategy. Your secret winning condition needs to be filled at the beginning of your turn to win. Works well with all of the advertised number of players (2 to 4). Plays always just under an hour.

You don't need to be a fan of Discworld to love the game.

If you read the post, this does not fit what the OP was looking for at all.

Me and my gf have been playing a lot of Mage Wars Arena lately. If you want a real deep, mage vs mage battle game (think Magic crossed with a little Summoner Wars), then you can't do any better than this.

The OP only 'prefered' fantasy. TtR is not fantasy, but it is 2-3 players. Actually we could use some more information to what the OP is looking for.

When i think of 2-3 player games, I would want something that plays well with 2 players but also has mechanics that prevent the targeting of individual players to prevent "ganging up" and "kingmaking" in 3 players. My favorite is, of course, Race for the Galaxy, but I also enjoy Cosmic Encounter and Fleet 3 player.

We also play Eclipse and El Grande 3 player, but if one person starts to lose, they generally drag down the person that hurt them, or throw their support to the underdog; which is a situation our group tries to avoid.

The Road to Canterbury is a funny 2-3 player game, if not fantasy at least Medieval in setting, that you may want to look at. Also Fantastiqa which is by the same designer also plays well 2-3.
