Hi Everybody! I'm new here.

I have a question:

How do you fly 2 or 3 ships in formation?

I haven't tried the game yet, just been reading about it. But it seems like you couldn't run a TIE Advanced and 2 TIE Fighters in tight formation around the board. Is this a problem or am I missing something?

The thing is, I would think, and maybe I'm wrong, but the TIE Advanced (or even the TIE Interceptor) with two wingmen TIEs would be a pretty good hammer against one or two fighters. Or is it only workable in a tight space like a trench run?

Thanks!

CN

Odd, I just tested, and they work a treat for me...

It really is an awesome primer on movement and formations

You just allocate appropriate maneuvers to keep them in formation.

Another way to practice your formation maneuvering is with this template. I use it to determine good starting placement and first maneuvers (like staggering) and basic turns with 5-7 ships. For a given squad, I'll print off a few openings and variations to go over before a tournament - in addition to practicing with the miniatures at home, of course.

Weird. Last night it said the file didn't exist. Today it works fine. Glitchy Internet. Or maybe User Error. I'm not sure.

Thanks again!

David should have used this to open and close his tutorial and saved himself the immense trouble
