So it is the time of year here in Belgium/Europe that people get paid bonuses, so after just receiving mine I have set aside 200€ for board-games.

What I would like to do is a big order from Gameslore or somewhere like that.

We only player 2 player games and what we love so far are Keyflower, Carcassonne, Battle Line, Jaipur, and Castles of Burgundy.

I will get either Blokus or Hive as my SO wants a abstract game, so on top of that what I am looking for is some recommendations from you fine folks, I am sorry if this has been asked a 1000 times, I have a few ideas, but maybe there is something I have overlooked.

Cheers

Kevin

On a side note, my SO love Jaipur now by love I mean that it is the one game she always wants to play, I enjoy it but would prefer it to be more meaty, so similar games?

Antike Duellum is the best strategic 2-player game I know, if you don't mind the (partly) conflict theme.

For purely abstract 2-player "thinking" games you might look at the GIPF project series.

Agricola as a well-Themed euro which works very good with 2.
