Subject: Game Mode Ideas rss

Nicked with good intentions from Auctoriums gathering of ideas

So far the game mode ideas are:
- Normal (Official)
- SLAUGHTERFIELD! (Official)
- Wave Progression (Might be what SLAUGHTERFIELD! is)
Waves of enemies flood towards the valiant heroes, getting steadily stronger!
- MYTHOBA - Myth Offline Battle Arena
I.e. MOBA! 2 Teams battle it out on the same map, with waves of minions for each side moving on the enemy. Either 1 darkness covering all (So pushing hard makes life difficult for the other team too!) or each team controls a separate darkness!
- Tower Defense
Like Wave Progression, except you're building towers instead of controlling mighty heroes. (I so have a soft spot for this idea, Love TD)
- Premade Dungeons
Ready made dungeon to clear! Can have various limits to make it harder, 60 minute timer for example.
- Dungeon Run
Upon completion of the final goal, chaos beckons as all players fight to be the last man standing to keep the treasure to themselves.
- Multiple Start Points
Don't split the party! Except...you start already split up! Try to reunite before things get too dangerous!
- Space-Hulk like
No idea what that means...but sure =P
- Gauntlet
Path of huge quantities of enemies that're already in place, with your goal on the far side, dare you brave the gauntlet?
- Infinity Gauntlet
As before, but every time you reach the goal, it just seems to lead to a deeper hell!


Would LOVE to hear other suggestions, and hopefully MERCs are inspired to make official rules for some of these, even if they're just posted online! If not, then come January we'll flood the Variants forum with awesome stuff!
