When constructing your own car you have 20 Wear Points to divide over 7 zones: Tires (1-14), Brakes (1-7), Gearbox (1-7), Car Body (1-7), Engine (1-7), Stability (1-7) en Grid Girls (0-4).

Each grid girl remains for only one race and then grants 1 extra WP for the following race. (If you invest in 3 grid girls for race 1 then you have 23 WP’s for race 2. You could reinvest some of these WP’s in grid girls again if you like.)

cool

Any race team must supply pictures of their grid girls in order to validate the wear point usage!

(I can see this idea descending into chaos!)

Hmmm, but that's only shifting up to four WP from one race to the next, isn't it. That's not much of an incentive from my point of view.

How about using the grid girls for a better starting position? spend x WP for grid girls, advance x positions on the starting grid. Kind of a Colin Chapman philosophy - race cars need only keep up until crossing the finish line.

An advantage of 4 WP is huge! You take pit girls on easy tracks, and then when the going gets tough, spend the saved WP on tires in a following race.

But your idea is nice too. Guess it's up to eech player's home rules now.

Yes, I see the intention and 4 WP are indeed a big advantage. But there are two points to consider.

- If you think about switching 4 WP to the following race because the current track is easy, the other players will follow that tactic as well. The average advantage won't probably be +4 WP but more like +/-2 WP.

- Using +4 WP in the next race means a huge -4 WP disadvantage in the current easy race. If both races are evaluated equally (championship points) the disadvantage equals the advantage.

To accept a risk there should be an additional benefit, like
- use 1 WP, gain 2 WP in the next race
- use 2 WP, gain 3 WP in the next race
- use 3 WP, gain 4 WP in the next race
- use 4 WP, gain 6 WP in the next race
- if car gets a DNF result, benefit is reduced to 1 WP in the next race

Every player should have to decide between taking risks (and getting a considerable advantage) or playing it safe.

I like grid girls. FD needs more of that... laugh
