I guess I'll put DM in China, I'm not sure if they would have a homeland in Africa or not.

Ah, Red Star Over China.

My understanding is that you count the current game, so DM will have started once in Africa and once in Asia, meaning no homeland. (This homeland rule doesn't seem so significant to me yet, but perhaps I'm missing something.)

Welcome to the neighborhood. I was wondering if anyone was going to challenge me on my doorstep, as well you should. The fortification in particular should make this interesting. Looks like Geoff and Bryan will fight it out over the cluster of cities on the other side.

Here's the HQ map:

Geoff goes first.

Just making sure but I believe you should only have 1 troop in Central America.

Edit: sorry just saw that the sideboard triggered an event that added the 3 extra troops. I was looking for that text down by the sideboard update but noticed it just above the map...

I will post my turn in the morning.

Dear Valued Customer:

Due to misuse of our robotics products in your market, we plan to cease business in China effective immediately. All units containing robotic parts will be recalled and destroyed. After removal and salvage, we will leave behind one sales representative to coordinate the transition to our new China-specific product line: Die Mech Peace Lite 1.0. The DMPL or "dimple" is a friendly battle mech whose combat software is disabled for aggression between China and India/Southeast Asia for 3 turns. No more than 3 units will be placed in these markets during that time. In exchange for your continued customer loyalty, you will receive a permanent hardware upgrade for one comeback power. We encourage you to test its capabilities in Rio or Paris. Please complete the following customer satisfaction survey:

[ ] Yes, I would like to continue to survive on this planet. Please tell me more about your exciting new products.

[ ] No, I am stubborn and will continue to fight for no reason, guaranteeing victory for my rivals who are doing nothing to help me.

We look forward to your continued business.

Sincerely,
Khan Industrial

Okay, this is going to be interesting.

Recruit. +3 (minimum) to Southeast Asia (4+3=7).

Expand and Attack.
Attack from Southeast Asia (7) to China (3) 6v3 FORTIFIED: SEA6 v China3 FORT 3d6-2d6 = (5 + 1 + 3) - (3 + 5) = 1
Attacker loses 2.
Attack from Southeast Asia (5) to China (3) 4v3 FORTIFIED: SEA4 v China3 FORT 3d6-2d6 = (5 + 2 + 3) - (4 + 1) = 5
Fortification is strong. I'll use a missile to make Defender lose 2.

Close, but defender loses. Die Mechaniker faction is knocked out.
Leave 1 in SEA and move 4 into China.

I guess I'll go with Well Armed.

Hmm.... where to respawn? South Africa (4)

Hmm... Attack Congo! (3v2)c1r1 3d6 - 2d6 = (6 + 6 + 3) - (6 + 2) = 7 one each
round 2 c1r2 2d6-1d6 = (4 + 4) - (6) = 2

well, so much for that.... end.

Made an updated faction card for Die Mech:

And here's a similar one for Enclave:

Also, Richard Andersson (rican415) would like to take the 5th seat when we start Game 4. He has played before (maybe not by forum?) and has seen most or all of the packets. So, the board is about to get more crowded. Plan accordingly....

Alex, you need to update DM's green power to say only DM HQ is treated as fortified.

Oh, okay, thanks. I actually read the rule wrong and thought it applied to all HQs, so I'm glad you pointed that out. I will change it in the campaign materials and above. I assume, by the way, that this particular power does not stack with an actual Fortification, except in the sense that it is not depleted.

It does not stack with Fortifications but it does stack with Bunkers.

Edit: that info came from the game's developer in one of the posts in the rules forum I think.
