There are 10 types of people-- those who understand binary, and those who don't.

As many Chit Chatters already know, I have revived the idea first put forth by Tickmanfan, a few months back, and will attempt to blow some life back into this concept.

Completely confused? EPYC is the acronym for Eat Poop You Cat, a game here in the BGG database, that requires you to read a provided sentence and to draw a picture that best captures that sentence OR to look at a provided picture and describe it, usually as literally as you can.
It requires a small amount of imagination but it does not really require any artistic talent-- although that usually gives a participant a certain comfort level. Some of the best entries are from people who "can't draw", however. Stick figure people and animals are welcomed.

If you want even more info on what's going on, add a reply below or geekmail me to find out.
Here are the results from last year's chain: Chit Chat's BIG Chain #1

Your update (April 24, 2013):

Out of 38 people who listed themselves as "wanting to participate" on the original sign-up list, I have received responses from 29 of them. Only one person is bowing out, currently, but I may try to get them to provide a sentence somewhere down the road, as things progress. If not, no biggie.

So then, I'm going to give it until Saturday, April 27th to hear back from the missing nine and then I will go ahead and draft a list order and start issuing instructions to the top person on the lists.

If you didn't see my email, or I somehow missed you, or even if you want to get in on this at this late date, let me know (either as a reply here, or in a geekmail) and I'll see what I can do.
We were originally hoping to cap things at 40 entrants, but with nine missing that could open up a few spots.

Edit: Go to the last page to see the links to the play-by-forum threads.

Make everyone sign a contract or statement of commitment or something. I'm still peeved over the last game that fell completely apart because of one person crapping out.

Crapping out will merely slow the process down but I'm not averse to using a two or three strike rule: if attempts to hurry someone along are fruitless, I'll skip 'em altogether and they can beg back in for later if they want to.
As long as there is communication, I can be quite patient. Having my pleas ignored makes me less charitable.

If you need anyone extra, then you can add me....but...I am going to Japan from the 4th until the 17th, so I won't be able to participate then. (Maybe I can be bumped to the top to get my statement or pic out quickly?)

I've done this game many times with friends and co-workers and love it.

I'll put you on the pinch-hitter list. There's no way that this will get done by the 17th of May, so a later start might be best. I'll see better once I finalize things.

I've got lots of room for demondude777 so he's on the list now. We'll work around the trip to Japan.

Unless I get some last minute replies, I think we'll end up at around 32 participants, which is a nice size.

April 29th Update:

Only Fortune, modboy, ironhide1, and wizcreations have not responded to my invitation email, so everyone else who replied back to me is IN (unless something happens in the meantime) except for just two people from the original list, who are passing this time around.
I also added bulldog93 and demondude777 to my list since they didn't see the original call for entrants a few months back.

We are underway!

Re: EPYC Epic Big B&W Chain
It seems that I have room on the list for another participant, if anyone is in the mood (new participants will be expected to draw one picture and add one sentence).

So far SybotCB, EgorjLileli, bulldog93, JoshBot, Progmode, Shaun L, ZeroZilla, and col_w are the only ones who haven't had a chance to make at least one contribution. But they are on the list.

Settle down, kids. We can get out of the car at the gas station up ahead, and you can stretch your legs then.

No, I'm not buying you a chocolate bar. No, you don't need a can of soda pop. Stop hitting your sister!!

I'd estimate that we're about halfway now. So either read those comic books over again, or listen to your tunes on your mp3 player.

C'mon Rudy, you know better than that. I should have seen it coming when Mabby's geekmail began with an apology and the aforementioned short, simple, sentence rule.

I took a double-take when at the bottom of the geekmail I spied a humongous, multiple-line run-on sentence!! I thought to myself: "That can't be the sentence I have to draw for!"

Pshaw. Sentences like that are more fun to draw and more fun to watch transmorgify into complete insanity.
