Greetings -

The next event of the Rochester/Oakland Boardgamers Association (ROBA) is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 28, from 1-9 p.m. at St. Luke's United Methodist Church (3980 Walton Blvd., Rochester Hills, MI 48309). You are invited to bring your family and friends and join us!

If you need directions, visit this link:

Here's a few highlights of this month's ROBA event:

DOOR PRIZES! - We have a couple of door prizes, courtesy of our friends at the Metro Detroit Gamers. The drawing will be held at 5 p.m.

ROBA DE - The final two races of the ROBA Formula De season will take place at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.

FOOD! - The youth group at St Luke's provides everything - pop, water, snacks, and pizza for dinner. Pop and snacks run $0.50 each, while pizza is $1 a slice, and will be Little Caesar's. Come hungry and help us support this great group of kids as they raise funds to go to the Appalachian region this summer to repair homes!

GAMING! - As always, ROBA is where you meet new people, see old friends, and gorge from the gaming buffet table that ROBA has become well-known for.

We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

January ROBA Review
Over 62 gamers participated in the January ROBA Event, even with the balmy spring-like weather we had. All in all it was a great time, and 15 people came through the doors for the first time.

There was a ton of gaming going on - in fact, at one point, every gaming table was filled, causing us to expand to our overflow area.

Thanks again to St. Luke's United Methodist Church for the use of the free space, and to everyone who continues to make ROBA a huge success and the place to be to game in southeastern Michigan!

Paul
