Now as some of you may know, I've mentioned it from time to time, for me this series is about the wrong war.

As it is however about the right period in time I must buy them.

What I wondered about is if anyone ever tried to create his/her own battles.

I realise the main problem by doing so is the lack of flexibility where the terrain is concerned, so you'd have to create your ow terrain tiles.

Hm shouldn't be to difficult to print your own terrain segmemts.

Just wondered if anybody ever tried

Ah now I see, you're the official designer guy.

I wonder if you guys will ever do 80YW battles.
During 80 years of war there should be few that would be suitable

THere are very few battles of the 80 years war that would fit the MPBS, so I dont think there is basis for a module covering the war.
I also know that Ben Hull has no plans in this direction as he has mentioned Polish battles of the mid-17th century, more English Civil War and the Dutch War of the 1670ies as future modules.

BUT....

I was once told by an official designer guy that he didn´t see any of the Scandinavian battles apart from Lund as good MPBS scenarios and that the 1618-1626 battles wouldnt be fun in the MPBS, and therefore wouldnt happen. This prompted me to try and tinker around with them myself and eventually become an official designer guy myself, so dont let my post stop you

So you actually created your own battles and than somehow managed to get them accepted by GMT as offical ones.
Impressive.

Also impressive that GMT apparently is a company that really listens to customers.

Some time ago I was in touch with a designer (different company) who was going to create a westfront expansion for his game.
Low countries which he assumed to be Belgium and France...

[Don't you hate it when they act as if countries like ours never existed?].

So of course I made a remark about it and I got a message saying he would talk to the chap who was supposed to do the job [I don't think he was even European] and they'd get in touch with me so we could than have a go a creating some Dutch scenarioes.

Yeah, sure never happened, which is not a problem but if you don't intend to do something, don't make promisses.

Good to hear that should I ever feel familiar enough with the game series and take the time to try and create some scenarioes, there at least might be a chance they'd be interested in doing something with it.

Mange tak.
