I'll be updating this with various important posts by the game's creator taken from the comments section (so you don't have to dig for them @ http://www.kickstarter.com/profile/1956069330/comments?ref=b...). Feel free to add any I miss.
What if I want more than 1 copy of the game but have an early bird special? How will that work?
If you wish to buy multiple copies of the game, just add on your pledge level for each one. So if you are a Spotter-level backer, You can indeed add on more games at $55 each. This is our way of thanking those who gave us that initial burst of momentum in the early days. We'll also allow this for Merchant's Cargo and Wares & Plunder level backers, as long as you but in groups of three. So if you are a Merchant's level backer you can get an additional group of 3 games for $150. And overseas backers at these levels only have to add on the foreign postage once.
Part of why we are doing it this way is that as much as we do want everyone to buy extra parts and pieces and ancillary wares, it is also very helpful for us to print the largest run of games that we can possibly afford, as the bigger the run is, the more the printers and manufacturers will discount the cost. And also the larger the print run, the better the quality of who we do business with is. For example, we'd very much like to do business with Cartamundi to produce the cards, but they require a minimum order of 3000 units before it is worth their time and labor to set-up and configure their presses. At the moment, we have pledges for about 925 copies of the game. If we can get pre-orders for 1500 copies, then it will be worth the investment to order a run of 3000. We'll see what happens as the end draws closer.
Will stretch goals be included per copy of the game or per pledge?
Will the number of copies of the game I order impact the number of addon-ons I get with a purchase?
And to reiterate what we've said before, every copy of the Kickstarter Edition of the game contains what every other copy of the game does, whether you order 1 or 4 or 44. So 44 games means 44 Kobolosi, 44 Aeriopolises, 44 Yuansus, 88 canvas bags, etc. However if you add on a Spawn of the Kobolos, you only get the one Spawn. We're generous, but not stupid. ;-)
Will the game ship with blank cards we can customize?
What type of quality will the cards have?
blank cards will be shipped with beta copy in june. We will also be including blanks in the production game as well. Side note : Production cards will be printed on 300 gram paper (best card stock) by the same company that produces mtg. We want this game to be known for quality components.
Any plans for localized shipping for EU pledgers?
Derek is contacting the EU branch of Amazon to see if we send a pallet of games to them if they can do order fulfillment so that we can avoid the whole VAT issue. We've talked with others who have done this who say that this will work, but we want to know definitively before we promise anything.
[Y]ou will receive your items from EU to EU. We will be shipping from Germany.
So do I still need to add $25 if I am a non-US backer for S&H?
We will still need the 25.00 shipment fee as we are having to pay additional shipping fees to get them into the EU.
This has now been officially stated in update 42 and on the front page of the Teramyyd kickstarter project.
Are the map tiles double-sided?
We are planning the double-sided tiles as a possible stretch goal. The trick is to figure out exactly what should go on the other side. Ruined/corrupted lands is one idea. Quest-related tiles is another. Whatever it is, we would want it to be able to integrate smoothly into the original map so that you could mix and match which tiles are flipped or not.
Where's the custom minis options?
We toyed with the idea of having Backer-created content as high-ticket stretch goals, but ultimately, adherence to the Lore won out. I think it was the right idea, because with out the Lore, this would be just another wargame.
Update: Custom captain and custom airships are now in, but will need to adhere to the theme!
Where's a copy of the rules?
[W]e are getting a full rules layout being prepared, thanks for your patience
Alpha Rulebook: http://ioworlds.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/FinalRulesRev...
(Note these are still being refined)
Will there be enough coins to not have to add more?
We will ship the game out with everything you need to play it contained in the box, whether that is putting in more coins, or have multiple denominations of coins, or through some mechanic we discover through our playtesters or the playtesting of our beta-testers. You can be certain of that.
Spheres? Lore? Expansion possibilities?
Hopefully this helps with regard to the question on the other spheres, technically of which there are eight others besides Teramyyd. This is taken from the Chiraean Tablets, a source of the mythos created by Aaron (much of which will be in the digital book, BTW). "And it was for our sake and ours alone that the Arbiters laboured so throughout the eons, from the day when life first emerged out of the primordial sea, until the day in which I inscribe this record, being the seventh millenium from the hour of their exodus; and they are remembered still. Nine were they, and so then there are in turn now nine worlds in place of the one, which is called Teramyyd. And the other worlds have names also, with each accorded their element; And they are Lisfsaria, Orubis, Phennom, Kennakassia, Sorutol, Frenxaer, Undorrhym and Tamistaal. But of these Teramyyd is the eldest and greatest." There you go, the eight other spheres, thanks for your inquiries
This is Teramyyd:Earthsphere. According to Aaron, our Guru of Teramyyd Lore, there are also 7 other Spheres. If possible, we want to make future Teramyyd games able to dock their assets together. But we probably won't be thinking about that idea seriously until at least October. ;-)
Why would I want multiple ships?
The idea with the duplicate airships is that some people want to play the same ship at the same time, so this makes it possible, (especially for those who you do paint their minis). Also we have been experimenting with 2-versus-2 rules where 2 players play on the same side with the same faction using both captain's card for that faction. Double minis would be desirable for that. And some people will just want a set to paint and display and a set to play with. We aim to cater to as many mini preferences as we reasonably can.
That was a change we made based on some good backer suggestions. Our original concept was to make all the stats on the Captain and none on the Ship. We are now splitting that up, so if you mix and match, you'll have more variation
Spawn of Kobolos is what?
Basically there are 3 different ways to encounter Spawn of the Kobolos. The first is the Spawn of the Kobolos Foe Card. The second is during the Kobolos Quest (which is a very popular Quest that gets played a lot). And third--and most likely way--is when a Foe card is drawn with a Kobolos icon. When a Foe card with a special icon is drawn (Kobolos, White Sails, Aeronauts), then an Event card is drawn as well. Each event card has a global effect, plus a specific and targeted effect for each special symbol. Many of the Kobolos-related effects cause the appearance of Kobolos eggs (we just use pretty glass beads for this, though there will be chits) and/or Spawn of the Kobolos. Eggs are not only pricey trinkets, but if left untended can hatch into Spawn. The most Spawn we have ever had in playtesting is 5, once. A set of 4 will handle most needs quite handily.
How many spwawn models would I need if I wanted them?
When we made the Spawn available, we were quickly flooded with questions about what they were for and how many they needed to get. Well, none really, if you are content with using the provided chits, and many it seems are.
However if you want to replace all possible occurrences of Spawn on the board, then 1 will serve you 50% of the time, 2 will serve 90% of the time, 3 for 95%, 4 for 98%, and 5 for an estimated 99.9% of the time. At least we believe so, since during our playtesting, new rules were added and and changed during and after every single session. The numbers above represent our best guess (and they probably work for the White Sails as well).
We want to cap out the White Sails and Kobolos Spawn at 4 each. We are engineering it to work fine with that number.
The Aeriopolis is what?
What is Aeriopolis you ask? Let me do a block-and-copy from the rules I just handed to the InDesign guy last night: "The grandest vessel in all of Teramyyd, Aeriopolis is a floating city that slowly moves across the lands. It has declared itself a safe haven and neutral territory, and it has massive gun placements to defend that declaration. No one in the Aeriopolis hex may be attacked. Even the Kobolos will shy away from attacking Aeriopolis, preferring to stalk weaker prey elsewhere. "In the game, Aeriopolis is the start or endpoint of numerous Quests, which are detailed in The Quest Book. The Aeriopolis Academy is also the only place where a Captain can be rid of a Cursed Artifact. The Markets are also better on Aeriopolis than in any other City, and a Captain there may purchase a Spell Card and a Tactics Card on the same Turn. Also, at the cost of a non-cursed Artifact from the Flagship’s Cargo Hold, a Captain may repair all the Damage to their Flagship as a single Action. "Aeriopolis’s starting position is determined as follows: First, roll the normal die to determine a City. (1) Chestervyn, (2) Windergaarde, (3) Somnova, (4) Meppyarrwhyyl, (5) Feareswater (6) Re-roll. Second, roll the normal die to determine distance from the rolled City. Third, roll the normal die to determine direction away from the City. (See Use of Dice.) If Captain Paul Prestyn is being played, that player may instead choose the direction." This is getting long, so I'll break this post here.

Does the buried treasure pledge level include 3 copies of the game?
The buried treasure does not contain the 3 games. It does however include the Beta tester level, canvas map, original signed artwork, art print of your choice shipped in an architectural tube, 2 patches, and whatever else we can find in the shop.
Of course the chest as well.
Does the game have solo play?
[-]Solo play options are being considered, but have not become a part of the core rules so far. It is one of the things we'd like to test with our beta-testing backers[/u].
Solo rules are a part of the final rule set. There will be many solo quests that involve completing quests in X turns and other quests that involve foes spawning across the map.
Who is the artist?
More videos of the models?
Do the baddies (spawn, white sail, etc.) have unique/special abilities or do they simply have different stats?
The spawn have some special ability like Kobolos but minor. They can also be captured and flown along side your ship as allies if your captain has gained that ability to beguile creatures. You have to be of sufficient level to do this.
The White Sails are different stats mainly. However, they do have a ship mat that will come with them for future use.
How are encounters going to be done? 1 quest deck (Talisman) or multiple levels of difficulty (Runebound; Mage Knight TBG)?
There are three levels of monsters in the game and we will run them as three separate decks that you choose based on your Captains level. (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/970751/alpha-rules-are-p...)
