I see "AA", "A R", and "AA/R" on some agents. I assume that means assassinate agent, assassinate royalty, or either, but I don't see mention of these in the rules. Please advise.

Yeah, they correspond to Assassinate Agent, Royalty, and Agent/Royalty. You'll notice that all the agents that have this on their tokens also have the ability on their cards.

I think this is just reference so that you know "An agent that can assassinate just moved into City X, I better get out!"

I think this is just reference so that you know "An agent that can assassinate just moved into City X, I better get out!"


Or a placeholder to remind the graphic designer to add the appropriate symbol to the card.

Having the two As can be confusing so I hope the graphic designer will use a symbol for assassinate, or perhaps use a red slash through an A and/or R when applicable.
