Once you destroy the Promethium Tank and Spore Chimney...well, not much seems to happen in this room. There's no red or orange Terrain left, the Hull Breach and Control Panel are both low-volume terrains for Genestealers to appear.

My squad actually spent a whole turn with nothing to do(!?!)

Did I miss something on the Locomotivus card on in the rules?

You got it right.

Yesterday I was also in Locomotivus and I have enjoyed about three turns of minimal threat.

Locomotivus is definitely too easy as well as Infested Biologis Lab (1B) and both can provide a very boring game.
I suggest using Dark Corner location card instead of Promethium Tank in case of Infested Biologis Lab and Ventilation Duct instead of Spore Chimney in case of Locomotivus.
