Just want to make sure I understand how the payout works.

I place a $100 bet for Red (Odds 2:1) to Show in the first race.
Lo and behold the Red horse places third.

1) Do I simply get another $100 from the bank to add to my bet on the table and will be putting $200.00 back in my "wallet"?

2) Do I get $200 from the bank and will be putting $200 plus my original $100 back in my "wallet??

#1 is correct.
The money is just used to mark your bet and has actually been paid to the bank. It's just easier to then take it back as part of your winnings.

Have you tried using poker chips instead of the paper money? We like the feel of the chips over the money. More tactile.

Good to see a Camrose gamer! I have family there. How's the boardgame community?

Hi Robb

Thank you for the reply.
It is a small group but the leadership is great and trys very hard to make it happen. I don't get out very often due to work but glad to see there is interest here.
