1st, buy some castrol super clean, a full bottel is about 7$

then soak them in it for 24+ hours.
use an old tooth brush and scrub off the paint, it should just fall off, but the brush really gets in the nooks and crannies.

2. let them dry
3. spray them with a white or black primor , make sure that when you spray them its not too humid.
4. break out your acrylic paints and get started.

good luck!

i've also heard of brake fluid working well to remove paint too.

no matter which method though, make sure you CLEAN THEM THOROUGHLY after soaking and brushing off the paint! your new paint won't stick if you don't.

Soak them in Simple Green. Detail with a toothbrush. It works well and isn't quite as toxic.

I agree with the Super Clean. It works great and no worries about melting the figures if you leave it in too long.

Brake fluid sometimes will melt the figures if you leave them in too long.

Cheers guys

Ok, so I need to do the soaking first. Mmmm all these products you mention though are US based products. Any UK gamers out there with some advice? Brake fluid could work, but I don't like the idea of 'melting' my robot (s) LOL

Thanks again

Nige

Nige... I've also used Pine-Sol or the generic equivalent. As in Simple Green, you soak the miniatures for a day or so and then scrub with your roomate's toothbrush under running water. Works like a charm and a similar product is certainly available in the UK.
