I got bored so I figured out what's needed to make every 100 point squad possible.

2 Core Sets

Wave 1
5 X-Wing (5 Gold Squad Pilots with R5-Astromechs)
5 Y-Wing (5 Gold Squad Pilots)
4 Tie Fighter (8 Academy Pilots/6 Black Squadron Pilots with Determination)
6 Tie Advanced (6 Black Squadron Pilots with Squad Leader)

Wave 2
6 A-Wings (6 Black Squadron Pilots with Deadeye)
6 YT-1300 (6 Black Squadron Pilots with Draw Their Fire)
5 TIE Interceptor (5 Alpha Squadron Pilots)
5 Firespray (5 Black Squadron Pilots with Expose)

The cheapest X-Wing is 21 points so you are limited to four not five and you are buying seven of them (2 cores and 5 X-Wings).

I think what you might have meant to say is:

8 Tie Fighters
5 Tie Interceptors
4 Tie Advanced
3 Firespray

4 X-wings
5 Y-wings
5 A-wings
3 YT-1300s

That's the max you can fit of any single ship in a 100 point squad.

I really can't figure out how you're matching up your pilots with the ships... For example, Black squadron doesn't fly A-wings, or Falcons, or firesprays, or Tie Advanced.....

Plus you get two with the 2 cores so you really only need two X-wing expansions

The R5-Astromech is unique to the X-Wing Expansion
Squad Leader is unique to the Tie Advanced Expansion
Deadeye is unique to the A-Wing Expansion
Draw Their Fire is unique to the YT-1300 Expansion
Expose is unique to the Firespray Expansion

If you want a list with 5/6 of those upgrade cards you need 5/6 of those expansions. The only thing I didn't include was 3 Outer Rim Smugglers with 2 Mercenary Copilots each, because I'm not sure on the rules on doubling up crew members.

I get it also but some of your combos make no sense. Why would you put Deadeye on a Black Squadron Pilot? It allows a pilot to use a focus token when shooting a missile or torpedo. TIEs have neither.

It was just an exercise to see how much you would need of everything to be able to literally make every squad possible.

Squad Leader is a unique upgrade, so you won't need 6 TIE Advanced expansions. 4 is plenty!

You are correct! I must have overlooked that. The only other TIE/A upgrades are covered by the X-Wing and TIE, so it can indeed drop down to 4 just to cover the 4 base ships at 21 each.
