The city expansion looks great but i havent had the opportunity to play it yet.
I have noticed many of the purchases available in the shops especially the armoury seem quite powerfull. They appear more powerfull than many magic items or eagle king relics. For example +3 great axe (no armour save) or the flail.
If im understanding this right a warrior could buy two weapons and a bow and
end up with a massive +6 strength plus an extra dice roll in battle. Talisman monsters max out at strength 12 even those guys must be feeling a bit nervous.
I wondered what others thought about this and how it changed the game if at all.
We love it!
There is little to do in the City other than shop, but it does give you ways of transporting characters in winning positions back to the City instead of, say, the Crown of Command
The Alchemist is broken in the City... unless he dawdles there too long, and that's what affects most players.
Dawdling in the City can happen, but if you want to win; get in there, do what you want and get out fast.
Flail is the single most broken equipment in the game, but it didn't stop one of the players from drawing Green Mist in the Dungeon after getting it.
One player Saved the Transmute spell for another interesting occurrence.
Been a very enjoyable addition all in all.
