Why is there a delete button in the "game rating" section of game pages? Why is it to the right of the submit button, when the usual order of buttons is "cancel // submit"? How often does anyone really need to delete their rating, ownership, comments, trade information, game play weight, etc. from a game?

If there must be a delete button, please provide an "are you sure?" prompt when it is clicked, to prevent accidental deletion of all info about the game!

I use the delete button all the time, so I'm glad it's there. And I haven't had any problems with it, thanks to my policy of reading a button before I click it.

Ooh I hadn't noticed, that, sounds like a really helpful feature, thankyou for pointing it outmeeple

Seriously, sometimes you enter stuff for a game and later realise that you were tallking about a completely different game! Deleting helps here.

The delete button lets you remove a game from your collection--it used to be very difficult to do so, otherwise. But I agree that it probably is not in the best location.

Can't you just uncheck the "I own this game" box?

No. The game still shows up as part of your collection, if, for example, you look at all games in your collection by going to this link:

Gloom still shows up in your collection, even though there appears to be no reason for it to be there, as far as I can tell. The delete button allows you to remove games like that from your collection.

Ah, I guess it depends on how you define "collection." I tend to think of my collection as being the games I have marked as owned, thus:

Given that there seems to be a need for the delete button, could it be moved and/or could an 'are you sure' prompt be added and/or could an 'undo' mechanism be provided?

Some people do accidentally click the wrong button, despite snarky comments above from people who apparently have error-free lives.

Sorry for any snarkiness in my comments. I certainly don't have an error free life. Just recently I burnt through the power cord of my kettle while cooking supperblush
