Text boxes for spoilers have been changed so that you have to click to see the spoiler instead of just hovering over it. I guess that helps people using smartphones. However, when a spoiler contains a link, when I try to click on the link, the spoiler is only hidden again—I can't follow the link without right-clicking and selecting Open Link in New Window.

Spoiler (click to reveal)

Is there any way around this? I'm using Firefox 18.0.1; is it a browser-specific problem?

Also doesn't work under Safari 6.0.3

I'd still rather have it this way round than the original system.

On IE10 I can Ctrl-Click the link to open in a new tab, that works nicely for me. I can also right-click the link in the normal manner. But, like the rest of you, I can't perform a "normal" follow link action.

As a tablet and smartphone user I appreciate this small concession to touch-enabled devices. BGG is in nearly all other ways a complete disaster on a touch device.

Actually this is the same on Safari and I suspect the other browsers too

I'm sure it is, but I can only report my experience.

When green is all there is to be, it could make you wonder why. But why wonder? I'm green, and it'll do fine: it's beautiful, and I think it's what I want to be.

I'm sure it's already been reported, but when using spoilers in a geeklist, if the site collapses the thread ("Show X more comments") when you expand the thread again, none of the spoilers work. (You can't click to reveal them.)

On Chrome you can right click the link which pops up a menu allowing you to open link in new tab/window. But seems like there wouldn't be a solution for touch devices.

Ooh a little higher, now a bit to the left, a little more, a little more, just a bit more. Oooh yes, that's the spot!

Wheel clicking on the link just opens it in a new tab. That's not going to work on the iPad though...

Regular (left button) click indeed just hides the spoiler box again.

But in Firefox I can successfully either:

1. Right-click the link for a popup menu with options to open the link
2. Middle button / wheel-click the link to open it

The problem is more than just right clicking. If you look at this list http://boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/156849/gcl-eclipse-episode...

You can view it once, and then when you go to view it again, it'll collapse the replies. After you click on "show all comments" you can no longer see the spoilers, even right clicking doesn't work. This means as the person who created this, I can't see the entries anymore and neither can anyone else.

It took a lot of time to set this up, and I realize this is a corner case, but it's still frustrating.
