The January Meetups were a success - almost 40 people attended our Meetup on January 5th. I was not able to attend our January 18th Meetup, but there was a large group there as well. Among the games played were Citadels, Power Grid, Caylus, Werewolf, San Juan, Amun-Re, Metro and more. You can see a full list of the games played at the January 1st Meetup here (a list for the January 19th Meetup is not avaialble):

Jan 19th: no list

As usual, we have two Meetups scheduled for the upcoming month of February:

Thu, Feb 2, 2006 at 6:00 PM
- note that our normal First Tuesday night Meetup has been moved to the First Thursday

Thu, Feb 16, 2006 at 6:30 PM

(note: in order to view the event details at the Meetup.com site, you must first register there. You do not need to sign up with Meetup.com to attend our events, but doing so allows you to RSVP and see other upcoming events)

The 6/6:30 PM start time may be early but you can come late or just bring dinner with you. If you want to play a specific game, bring it, or just play what's there. On Thursdays, Neutral Ground is open till 12 midnight should you choose to stay late.

There is no admission fee, and the group is open to all.

All Boardgame Meetups are held at the Neutral Grounds Gaming Room:
Neutral Grounds Gaming Room
122 W 26th St 4th Floor
New York, NY 10001
212-633-1288

Hope to see some Geeks there!

Daniel,

I'm going to definitely try to make it this Thursday. Anything you want me to bring from my collection?

-Tom

P.S. Keith says hi.

Well, I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it this time, as I may have to travel for work yet again. I would like to try China, if you wouldn't mind bringing it. I'll probably bring Princes of Florence and Power Grid. I should know tomorrow if I'll be gone for work, hopefully not.

I actually hung out with Keith last weekend - he thought it was quite funny that when you finally figured out who he was, your response was "oh, the liberal?". Ah, lawyers(-to-be).

Daniel,

Hopefully you can make it. I'll try to bring China with me. I've been playing Web of Power on BSW recently, so I'd love to try out my new copy of China. I'd also be happy to playing Princes of Florence, but I'm not a huge fan of Power Grid.

Hehe, that's funny about Keith. I'm not sure why that's how I identified him, I think just because the only thing I knew about him was that he was involved in the American Constitution Society, which is rather liberal, but I didn't mean he was the liberal, in contrast to myself or everyone else, since we're all pretty liberal up at Columbia. Anyway, I'm actually sitting next to him now in Corporations, so maybe I can clarify laugh
