I enjoy Monopoly - I think it's a good game, when played strictly by the rules. There is one thing I dislike, though - the first player does have an advantage, since he gets to go through the board first, while everyone else has to trail behind, possibly landing on his spaces and paying rent.

Here are some possibilities for starting I've got so far - let me know any more variants that are floating around.

Corner starts: Each player (up to 4) starts on a different corner. To keep the money even, the one closest to Go is fined $150 for the privledge, then $100 for Free Parking, $50 for Jail, and $0 for starting on Go, since he'll have to go all the way around the board to claim $200.

Delayed rent: Property is purchased, but no rent is paid until everyone has gone around the board once.
