I was wondering if anyone knows where you can buy multi-colored wooden game cubes (like the kind that come with Euphrat & Tigris)? We like using cubes for some of our other games, like Railroad Tycoon, but I can't find a source on the web. Thanks

You can buy blank ones here:

http://bgdf.com/catalog/

But you're probably better off getting a damaged / incomplete area control game from eBay (or as a trade) and scavenging that.

If you really want wood, try scavenging old copies of Risk from thrift stores.

If plastic is OK, get all the cubes you'll ever need for $25 here: http://tinyurl.com/cp83b

Here's a great source for wooden tiles. Same size as Columbia tiles, better quality, and cheaper:

They have a lot of other good stuff, too. It's not a game parts store, but it actually has better game parts than anywhere else I've seen.

Here's the cubes: http://www.skelementary.com/category.asp_Q_c_E_758968

You can get plastic cubes in somewhat smaller quantities as well:

http://www.highhopes.com/safe-t05.html

Their prices include shipping & handling, but cube for cube the Lakeshore site noted earlier might still be marginally cheaper. OTOH, Safe-T products also has packages with only six colors instead of ten. (Not sure which six colors you get, though; you may have to ask.)

If you absolutely, positively need 8 mm wooden cubes (roughly 1/4") vs. the 1 cm cubes (3/8"), send me a note by private mail. I have a few extra.

Most craft stores sell blank wooden cubes.
