Game 2 - Classic Characters, no special cards

This time I was the Dark Lord and started the game relatively successfully. After inital manouvering, the Black Rider sprinted and crossed the mountains, killing Pippin, but dieing in the attempt to a noble sacrifice.

This was then followed by the flying nazgul sweeping over and attacking into the mountains to die to the noble Boromir.

The fellowship entered the mountains where Gandalf was greeted by the Cave Troll. Gandalf retreated. The Cave Troll advanced again to attack Gandalf, but found Legolas who also noble sacrificed (via magic). Thus the noble sacrifice, magic and retreat had all been played by the fellowship.

Saruman advanced over the mountain, advancing some more and then running into Sam, only to be killed by the Elven Cloak, as Sam was protecting Mr Frodo. Ouch!

Shelob advanced into the mountains and was attacked by Gandalf, who thought he might find the orcs. Shelob promptly ate him and went back to Gondor to let the stomach settle.

At this point, the Fellowship was sure that the Witchking lay in Fangorn (to use his attacking sideways ability) and sent Merry through the tunnels of Moria. the orcs lay in wait and retreated sideways.

Shelob then popped out of Gondor, ate Merry and went back to Gondor again.

Frodo had advanced into Fangorn, but got attacked by the orcs and retreated sideways.

Unfortunately, Aragorn, Gimli and Frodo and to get passed the Witch King, Shelob and the warg ... with Sauron having the better numbered cards.

Frodo eventually fell after Aragorn's death. Shelob was quite full by this time ...
