Here's this week's marginal gains and losses.
Included is a "volatility" scale that stars games that have fewer than 200 ratings.
*** = Very volatile (30-49 ratings)
** = Volatile (50-99 ratings)
* = Settling (100-199 ratings)

**Hot Lava Birth**

Wallenstein -2 #10

**Top 5 Winning Movers**
Twilight Struggle*

Advanced Squad Leader (ASL) Starter Kit #2**
Blood Bowl: Living RuleBook**
Lord of the Rings - The Confrontation

Unless the someone whips out the ShillBuster-brand DustBuster Twilight Struggle looks like a shoe-in for the top ten at some point. Wallenstein leaves the top ten for the first time since this chart began in March 05. Pretty good considering that it has never been in the top half of the top ten. Hannibal has now spent 14 weeks at #8 since on and off since August 30 without going any higher. The Settlers Chest Set has now passed Settlers. Original Settlers debuted on the very first chart at #9; a mark that the Chest Set is only 11 away from tying.

Have a good week.

This list always causes me to check out the Top 100 lists to see where things stand. I see that Citadels fell from 100 to 103 on the non-expansion list and is no longer in the top 100. Ah, a sad day.

Thanks for your list. It's always interesting.

Yes a bit sad, but I look everytime this thread comes out and am happy to see Runbound, Dungeon Twister and Heroscape slowly slip away. There is justice.

I too believe there is justice. Its prescence in the boardgamegeek rankings table is rather more open to doubt, in my view

Seems like a fight between Wallenstein, Hannibal, Age of Steam and Paths of Glory for space in the top 10 (without expansions).

I think if there were more copies of Hannibal to play that it would rate higher. Wallenstein while somewhat interesting, still left me with a "meh" so won't miss that one off of the top ten. I think if memoir 44' is on the top 10, that C&C:Ancients should be able fill that spot soon.

Yes, it is impressive that an OOP game is that high on the charts, especially a war-game.

You've listed WHY it is so high. Being both OOP and a wargame grants that players who'd rate it low aren't going to play it at all in first place.
