(Rules stolen from my first short game. I guess that's not stealing. Major change(s) in bold.)

Roles:

Wolves(2) - they want to kill villagers.

Sorcerer - they want the wolves to kill villagers. And they get to look for the Seer using their magic.

Seer - Check someone for fleas...I mean, check and see if someone is a wolf.

Priest - Learn the roles of the deceased. Why the Priest got the job in the first place, well you'll have to ask him.

Hunter - Badass who can finish off a wolf. (But only at the end of the game for some reason.)

Villagers(3) That's what everyone wants you to think. But they get these random powers:

1 villager is a white hat whose role is revealed on death.
1 villager is a Butcher who looks like a wolf to the Seer and a Seer to the Sorcerer and a tasty treat to a wolf. (I'm not calling it "Tinker" because I don't know what a Tinker does and I'm too lazy to look it up. I think Butcher works better. But that's just me.)

And those powers may be give to the same person since powers are random like that.

Lynch Rules: here's where it gets a bit tricky

The lynch will be between 6AM BGG and 2:30PM BGG, exact time to be decided by the participants. You are expected to be on at lynch time. Here's why:

Lynch will occur after a designated time when no votes have changed for 5 minutes, or when participants agree to no changes in voting. Thus, sniping cannot occur.

Ties are not allowed. The lynch will continue until the tie is broken.

Votes cast solely to extend the lynch do not count (at moderator's discretion).

Conditional votes will not be allowed. Change your vote if you really want to since you will be online (right?).

All players are assumed to change their vote to save themselves if possible. If they do not want to, they may explicitly say so.

As usual, votes should be done like this:

vote MunchWolf

and to change:

unvote Anonymouse512
vote MunchWolf

Game Ending:

The game ends when the wolves dominate the villagers in numbers (wolves win).
OR
The wolves are both lynched. (village wins)
OR
One wolf thinks he/she dominates but really the Hunter is right behind him/her. (village wins)

Other Rules:

Roles are not revealed on death (except the White Hat).

Night orders will be processed ASAP - since you will all be online for lynch, should go quickly, right?

Players may PM each other player up to 5 times each day. Wolves may PM unlimited to each other. CC mod on all PMs.

First lynch will be Monday (or tomorrow, if we start really quick). Will start as soon as we have 9 players to give an extra-long first day (since the first day is *very* important in this format). Sign up below, and when signing up please indicate your preferred lynch time(s).

Player list (preferred lynch time):

1. Jmlium (11:30AM)
2. ptper (anytime)
3. GuyHill (2 PM)
4. tqboz (6-10AM)
5. werefish (2 PM)
6. agnespoodle (9AM-5PM)
7. RoyalFlush (after 11AM)
8. ScottBecker
9. Belash

Consensus lynch time seems to be 2PM.

Do I need to ask every player for preferred lynch times? I should put that in the rules.

Oh, wait.

I cannot resist... I was going to stop playing online WW, but it is so addictive... Please give me my medicine...

I'd like to play. Preferred lynch time would be 2PM.

I'd love to play, but right now i don't feel I can

If I get eliminated from some games early next week and this game still hasn't started then I will join.

Good luck with the game!

Unless a bunch sign up today, this isn't going to happen.

I thought that with 2 big games starting Monday a smaller one would be ok, but I guess the rules of Dune are scaring people away from anything else. (:

Heh. If I weren't already playing in EVERY SINGLE game scheduled next week (minus this one) then I would play this one...

i know of a couple more people that will play. let's not give up hope yet some of us get killed on day one every game, so we need these games to fill the voids left when we are cast aside time and time again.

Just to offer some feedback, for me on this one it's the lynch time, especially since you want everyone on around it (which is a reasonable request). Otherwise I would have signed up.

I can be a little flexible with it, but I can't guarentee being here at times in the evening.

If the lynch time is the only thing keeping people away, then post your preferred time. I can go as late as 4PM BGG but after that I won't consistently be around, so night orders may be delayed if it is that late. Could be later if there is consensus but then lynch results could be delayed.

And while it could be a bit of trial-by-fire (just ask Beowulf), newer players are welcome also.

I'll keep this open as long as everyone is OK with starting whenever it happens to fill up - probably mid next week after some people die in the big games.

Either that, or I'll follow Alex's lead and make the roles a BIG secret (:

I understand. But I think the game works better with everyone on together, so I wanted to formalize it. Plus the anti-snipe rules don't work if people aren't on, and they're something I feel are a good thing.

It didn't come into play the first game I ran, but there were outside issues then (I was kicked off BGG for the end of Day 1 and had a PM error by the wolves at the end of Day 2 that required a Mod hammer). I want to try it again. Plus this format is really fun. (:

The lynch is unlikely to be at 8pm. At the latest it might be 4pm, but after that I can't count on being online.

I'm leaving you off the list for now , but if a more afternoon lynch time is workable for you then maybe...

The likely scenario right now is somewhere 12-2PM depending on who else we get and their times. Anywhere in that range better than at 2?

I'll pencil you in, but if the times don't work let me know.

This game is a natural join for me but unless I die in Showbiz or Dune (esp. Dune) I just can't commit to the time this week.

Just so you know I'm not ignoring you or anything.

Passing up this and the Witch Trial was a test of willpower that I surprised myself by passing. wow

BGG time is US Central time. So 3PM @ -5GMT (Eastern, correct?) is 2PM BGG.

Is that what you meant?
