This may seem a dumb question, but my wife and I have just started playing LOTR:C and after completing a battle, we sometimes have difficulty remembering whose turn it is. Is there a clever way others are using to track turns?

Thanks.

You could just use a poker chip or something similar to pass back and forth when your turn is finished, similar to a dealer button in poker. This would require you to remember to pass it to one another at the end of your turn.

Here's something to try:

When revealing the characters just before a combat begins, have the current player (the one who initiated the combat) orient both pieces so that they are up the right way for the player who initiated the battle. After the battle is resolved, it is that player's responsibility to remove one or both pieces (or ask the opponent which square they want to retreat to, etc.). Then each whose "turn" it is will be obvious since they are the only ones handling the pieces and once the battle is resolved, play passes to the other player who then handles all the pieces, etc.
