Finished up my Cyberboard Module to the point that it allows me to at least run through a Patrol Scenario. Nice thing about Cyberboard is you can do a running log for your sub patrols:

S-38 Patrol Log (1 July 1942)
==============================
Left Brisbane enroute to Solomons Operating Area
Transit Event
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 8
-1 Transit No Event
«--------------------»
Week 2
=======
Arrived in Solomons Operating Area and begin Patrolling
«--------------------»
Prep for Ops
«--------------------»
Search and Contact Phase
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 7
Blue -- Moderate Density

Lookouts report Smoke on horizon and we head towards the contacts which seem to be a small convoy.
«--------------------»
Contact Result
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 1
C1 Small Convoy / Moderate Density
«--------------------»
4A/3B Dice Cut Distribution
«--------------------»
Sub placed in column A 2 chits turned 1x2t Merchant spotted but the other chit is a Combat Event

DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 3
Betty Bomber Spots Submarine

Aircraft Counterattack
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 10
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 6
Sunk

S-38 is too slow in reacting to the aircraft attack and takes fatal damage sending the sub and crew to the bottom.

Note: I've run this patrol scenario 3 times but haven't sunk anything yet.

hey T-Mo. Those S-boats are something arent they?

I have a question though. The die roll (if I read you correctly) was a 3 combat event (Aircraft) followed by a "0". There are no 10s in this game. The 0 is a 0 not a 10. Looks like S-38 may have survived afterall.

Rolling "0's" during the Search/contact phase is the only way to encounter an enemy sub--if you roll a 2nd "0".

Hope this helps.

If I'm reading it right, Chris is correct:

Quote:
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 3
Betty Bomber Spots Submarine

Aircraft Counterattack
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 10 <--- {This should read 0, not 10}
DICE ROLL:
Specification = 1D10
Result = 6
Sunk

After getting the Event "Betty Bomber Spots Submarine", you roll on the Event Aircraft line with no modifiers (you aren't spotted or damaged, and it's the first attack round). A result of '0' is 'zero'.

Yep -- I have to keep an eye on that. I'm so used to a 0 being a 10 when using D10s. Glad I got S-38 out for a 2nd patrol.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has run this thing 3 times without sinking anything!

I played this patrol six times last night. I sunk one ship -- a one-ton merchant -- but have yet to pass the first Endurance Check. That's been forcing me to attack twice each time because I can't expect to get a another chance for Search & Contact.
