Huh?

EDIT: In other words, does this impact all of the "Publisher" entries on BGG?

Huh. That's kinda weird. Is Out of the Box just going to be distrubuting the games, or will they be printing them as well?

Was this the "HUGE announcement from Out of the Box" that John Kovalic talked about in his Muskrat Ramblings the other day? He had said that he was going to post about it yesterday after the oficial announcement, but there hasn't been anything new.

Hmmm. Could your avatar and location clue us in that you have some inside info?

According to Rio Grande it just means that Out of the Box will be another distributor (just like any other wholesaler) of Rio Grande games.

I guess if there're stores that sell Out of the Box items that currently don't carry Rio Grande stuff, they'll have an easier way to get them.

Well that's weird. I guess I don't understand the industry all that much, but I thought Out of the Box is a Publisher, not a distributor.

I wouldn't say 'inside info'. I would say a more than passing interest.

I guess in this business, you sometimes have to be both. If OTB has a better supply chain (if only in some areas) than RGG, then we should all be happier.

Besides, OTB is in Target and we all know what that could mean...

Spoiler (click to reveal)
Not that I think it will, but it's nice to dream.

Best wishes to both companies! I'd love to visit OTB's Dodgeville warehouse now, especially if they house RGG titles there....

Didn't know OotB was located in Richland Center. I LIKE that area of the state...might have to make a trip to a potential warehouse. If nothing is there for a buyer, well, it's still a great area of the state to visit.
