Simply put, does Might & Magic Duel of Champions count as a boardgame? It is an electronic card game which has no cardboard analogue... but it is in no way a videogame. The closest game I can think of to this game would be a cross between Marvel Overpower and MtG (in the most basic concept, anyway).

Well what is or is not a board game is hotly disputed. The explosion of IOS and Android versions of board games has challenged the traditional paradigm.

On the Geek currently the defining factor is:

Software/digital/electronic/virtual = Video Game Geek (including video game versions of 'board games')

Hardware/analogue/physical = Board Game Geek
