Hello,
is there a limit to how many weapons a marine can pick up?
Can he actually pick up all weapons (even 2 plasma guns.. etc) he finds?
Let me know

when we play, marine pick up the weapon that he already have, he would receive an ammo instead of the weapon.

still waiting for the expansion...

We play the game just like the PC game. Every marine can hold one of each weapon they're able to pick up, and if they have the weapon already, they receive one corresponding ammo for it. Besides, I think the rules allow it anyways if I'm not mistaken.

Could this be a worthy mod?

At any time, each Marine can carry at most 3 "Small arms", 2 "Long arms", and 1 "Heavy Weapon".

Small Arms:
-----------
Two ammo tokens
Pistol
Nighstick (custom example)

Long Arms:
-----------
Shotgun
Machine Gun
Plasma Rifle

Heavy Weapons:
--------------
Chainsaw
Rocket Launcher
Chaingun
BFG

I know it makes the game *even harder* for the Marines, but perhaps that could be balanced out in other ways. It does give them even more strategic and tactical choices to make, though, which could make it even more interesting for them...?

I think a house rule is needed to fix a weapon limit, at least in the campaign mode. Otherwise, the marines can end a campaign scenario with ridiculous amounts of weapons.

After playing several campaign scenarios we had the marines with such an enormous quantity of accumulated weapons that we run out of counters for the next scenario setup!

Perhaps a limit of two "big weapons" for each marine (besides the pistol and one grenade counter) or something like this...I can imagine a marine with a pistol, some grenades, one shotgun in reserve, and a chainsaw in the hands, but nothing more
