Thanks to everyone who participated in our inaugural Predict the Winner event! Hundreds of players in North America, Europe and Asia were able to play Pittsburgh vs. Seattle (before it happened).

We now know that Pittsburgh held off Seattle to win 21-10, but what did our Pizza Box Football players predict? (Thanks to everyone who sent back results, especially those of you whose team didn't win.)

· 58% of games were won by Pittsburgh (average margin of victory in those wins: 12 points)

· Using scores from all games played, Pittsburgh was favored to win by 2.5 points

We’re going to do more Predict the Winner events in the future. We hope you’ll join us!

Game reports
Here's some of the commentary from some of our favorite games you told us about.

Pittsburgh wins by 11, despite early Seattle success
It was a good game. Seattle was leading at the half 14-7. Pittsburgh pulled away in the 3rd quarter and held the lead until the end.
Pittsburgh 28, Seattle 17

Sounds like the game we saw on TV
Seattle came out strong and Pitt was playing too conservatively. Once Pitt started playing more dynamic football, they started to roll.
Pittsburgh 31, Seattle 17

Nail biter
Having trailed by as much as 14 in the 2nd half, Pittsburgh evened the score with a touchdown 3:20 into the 4th quarter (21-21), but Seattle regained the lead with only 3.50 left to go (21-28). Pittsburgh's desperate last drive time saw a QB scramble for 11 yards on 4th down and 5. With 20 seconds on the clock, Pittsburgh scored - only to have the extra point blocked!
Seattle 28, Pittsburgh 27

Overtime thriller
Regulation time was not enough to decide this very tight defensive game that went into OT. The Steelers won a field goal on their second possession.
Pittsburgh 27, Seattle 24

No guts, no glory (Coaches Vermeil and Gruden would be proud)
Pittsburgh wins by scoring a 2-point conversion with 3 minutes to play!
Pittsburgh 22, Seattle 21

See-saw battle
Seattle capitalized on a 2nd half turnover to build a 20-9 lead. Pittsburgh responded with 2 TDs, capped by a 42-yard TD pass to lead 23-20. With under 5 minutes left, the Steelers fail to convert a 4th and 1 at the Seattle 30. Seattle mixes short passes and runs, driving 70 yards to score 1 minute left for the victory.
Seattle 28, Pittsburgh 23

Seattle comeback falls just short
Seattle entered the 4th quarter down 16 points, but they managed to come back. They had a chance to force overtime on a two-point conversion to tie with just over twenty seconds to play. A pass to the corner of the end zone fell just beyond Jurevicius's reach, sealing the victory for the Steelers.
Pittsburgh 26, Seattle 24

Seattle comes back to win in the final minute
Pittsburgh jumped out in front 14-0 early in the game, but Seattle battled back—and in the final minute of the game Seattle scored the final go-ahead touchdown.
Seattle 27, Pittsburgh 24

Pittsburgh snuffed in the 2nd half
Trailing 9-7 at the half, Pittsburgh came out of the locker room looking strong, muscling their way to 1st & Goal at the 9 on the strength of their tremendous running game. Seattle held, however, and forced a field goal. Those would be Pittsburgh's last points of the game. A 63-yard Seattle run and a Seattle interception return to Pittsburgh's 4 sealed the victory.
Seattle 32, Pittsburgh 10

Cowher's faith in his defense is rewarded
Pittsburgh trailed 32-21 in the 4th quarter. A TD with 5:00 left pulled them to 32-27 (2-point conversion failed). The defense held, and the next Pittsburgh drive stalled for a 38-yard FG with 2:10 remaining (32-30). Cowher kicked deep and called on the 'D' one more time. They forced a fumble, but Seattle recovered at the first down marker. Spooked by the fumble, Seattle tried a play-action pass that fell incomplete, preserving a timeout for the defense. A punt gave Pittsburgh one last drive from their own 20 with 1:00 remaining. An incompletion and a well-defended screen set up a desperation heave that was caught by Hines Ward at Seattle's 16. After spiking the ball, Pittsburgh converted the comeback with a last-second FG to win.
Pittsburgh 33, Seattle 32

Yeah, but were there any games in which the refs made several bad calls vs. one team?
