Roses for the Ladies and nothing for Martin.
All is as it should be for Valentines Day.

A special "Hello, and where the he!! have you been?" to Dwayne.
It was good to see you.
It's been two to three years (old Montana's Location).
Don't be a stranger.

Before we get to the games.
This is my public apology for tardiness.
I know I lucked out because even if I'd been on time we could not have started.
Again, My mistake.

On to the Games...

MERCHANT OF AMSTERDAM
Record bid goes to Justin -- 380,000 Florins for a double combo.
Shrewd, but I still think you paid to much.

The winner was Heather (First Timer) who stayed out of most of the bidding (one bid $340,000), but was very strategic with development and capitalizing on cards drawn. Heather had Just over 1.2M (if memory serves).

SNOWBALL FIGHT -- Defense won this.
By using powderballs and cover on Justin I ended up lasting long enough to finish him with a curve ball. Winner. Me me me me me me me me ... ME!

(Yea Me!)

SAN JUAN
Two games... (Kuub, Dwayne and John)
The first game ended in a three way tie.
The Kuub won this due to the total cards in hand plus untraded production cards (5-3-1).

the second game was Kuub again.
This time without the need for a tiebreaker.

PUERTO RICO
Staying with the theme
(underdeveloped third world slave labour based empires)
Dwayne, John and the Kuub gave PR a try.
This was Dwayne's first go at it, but he seemed to catch on quite quick.

The winner was John by 8 (7 points from large building bonus).
He used a construction hut and some tobacco/indigo (a little trouble getting the coffee brewing) to pull off his win.

All in all a good (if truncated) night.

DON'T FERGET...

Next Tuesday in Kanata, the Rat King and His Bunch are at Zavida Coffee house.

AND
Dhunham's big game "Ludopalloza" on April 29th and 30th.

FOR NEXT WEEK (Feb 28 2006):
Martin is going to set up 15 sets of pitchcar to make a 1.3km track throughout the restaurant -- full size ferrari not included. Or, if not, something close.

The General is bringing Tycoon (using all cards and bonuses / bonusi / boneeses / whatever).

I'll bring Merchants so Kuub can get a go at it.

See you then
Take care.

I was glad to finally play this, although it didn't quite live up to my expectations. A little too dry, and the things are too intertwined together. [/q]

Yeah, thanks to my great lead-in super-start

Hopefully I'll even have a few custom-made pieces to try out, this will be a great chance for a dry run before I present this game at CanGames. Game will start at 6:30pm sharp! Latecomers will only be accepted if they flick their cars with their toes
