When you do random setup, the English rules explain how to place the tiles and how placement of the castles and knights works, but they never explain where you build walls, or what the rules are for placing starting walls.

How do you place walls initially when you are playing random setup?

Yep, no walls. Just think of the "simplified setup" as a game already in progress...

That's why you use the "A" deck w/ the variable construction. It will help you get those starter walls up by the time the "B" deck comes up.
