Is there a way to tell apart the different prints without opening the box? I am (of course) mainly interested in recognizing the 3rd printing in my local game shop.

Thanks.

It will have 2013 on the back of the box.

That's correct, all the 3rd printing have copyright 2013 on them.

Most all stores were sold out so it's probably hard to get "stuck" with an older version at this point.

Probably not that clear cut where I live. Also, Minion Games webshop still only advertises the 2nd print.

Just never got updated. While we have some 2nd print, we send out the 3rd now unless we're asked for the other.

I would also like to know the difference since I recently purchased a copy from a new online store and it has 2011 on the back.

Mainly the card size. We (Minion Games) have not change ANYTHING from 1st, 2nd, 3rd editions. They are all printer problems and differences. We've sent them all the same files. 3rd editions cards are a bit glossy and have tighter corners so you can tell they are 3rd but not much when mixed in with 1st. Nations 1 expansion has the same copyright on all additions but you can see the cards directly in the baggy.

That should be 2nd edition. You should have brown disks instead of yellow for the yellow player. That also means you have Mini-Euro sized cards (16th inch larger than they are supposed to be).

There is a nations 1 printed in Mini-Euro to match, but the 2nd stage expansion was only ever printed in Mini-American which was what 1st edition and 3rd edition are and what it should have always been.

I have the brown disks. I also picked up 2nd Stage but didn't have a chance to compare the cards. Since they are other buildings, this is going to make combining them awkward, yes? Is there a way to get replacements?

Good news...

We managed to get some more replacement decks for those of you who own the SECOND PRINTING of Manhattan Project.

We also still have the replacement starting cards for FIRST PRINTING.

Also we are willing to send you new NATIONS 1 pack if you have the THIRD PRINTING of Manhattan Project but somehow ended up with the SECOND PRINTING version of NATIONS 1.

Details on all the versions and the special replacement items are here:

http://bit.ly/13iXgNs

We only have about 40 more of the replacement decks so please only pick them up if the ones you have really bother you. But we are opening up this offer (while supplies last) to those who asked in the past and were convinced not to get them as others needed them more. Of course this offer is only to people who bought the SECOND PRINTING.

Note you will have to pay a very small fee plus shipping to get these. If I had enough for everyone I wouldn't ask for that. Sorry.

We will however be at GenCon booth 1201 and we'll bring what we have left at that time to our booth and you can trade in your old cards for the new ones there.

Thanks for your support,
James

Since shipping to Canada is approximately $30 (for some reason), I'll have to push my luck and wait to see you at GenCon for replacements.

Yup, I found out the same thing, the only shipping option given to me is:
USPS Priority International (6-10 days) - $28.25

If you contact our warehouse they can handle the order manually on Monday. warehouse@rpgshop.com -- sorry don't know why it's not allowing First Class as I double checked the weights and all.
