After reading the title I had to think because I didn't remember Glenn Beck being Canadian. Did the government immediately inform them that they were ineligible for aid because they Godwined themselves?

Ahhh I get it... touch our guns and the next step is full on death camps and eugenics experiments! Gosh its so simple why didn't I see it!

We really should just cede all power to the corporations right now after all they will allow us to keep all the guns we want right?

Other than their customers and shareholders.

In case you hadn't noticed corporations have gone multinational and are amongst the most powerful forces in the world. Their power certainly is greater then many world governments.

Their customers and shareholders aren't stupid enough to define corporations as persons.

I think it's funny that the government's solution to the problem, which is supposedly 'unsecured guns', was to BREAK INTO PEOPLE'S HOUSES and take the 'unsecured' guns.

Meanwhile, nobody is allowed into the city - which means that the only explanation is that they believe that people who actually live there should be kept out while they cannot keep out any riff-raff who might want to steal the guns.

RCMP spokeswoman Const. Francine Hennelly said when officers entered homes to search for people, “if we identified any pets or hazards, we would respond accordingly.”

“We seized any firearms that were noted that were in plain view,” she said. “We seized what we saw that could potentially be a hazard.”

“Anything properly stored in gun lockers were left.”

The RCMP also seized a number of vehicles that were posing a safety hazard.

This, exactly.

If you're a sheeple then you just concede that the government is only trying to ensure that the guns in locked houses are not going to find their way into the hands of... of... of, huh. I guess the hands of the people whose locked houses the guns were found in.

Whatever line of mooseshit the RCMP official spews out, the actuality is that in Canada your private property is not yours and the government can, for any reason they decide, come take your stuff if they decide your stuff ought not be in your residence.

Yeah corporations are always good cause they operate for the Free Market, unlike Da Evil Gubmint! Job creators need to be encouraged, especially to create more jobs for us wage-slaves. Don't worry, though, someday I'll work my way up to be Gordan Gecko so I don't want to infringe upon his rights to use my labor power for his gain.

Properly stored in safes? For starters, what kind of country do you people have up there? Even if there is a national law that requires all firearms to be "properly stored in a safe" - which I find difficult to believe - is there also a suspension of all individual rights during a natural disaster that allows the government to access your private dwelling, check your private belongings and see if you are following a law?

It certainly isn't "about the guns" as much as it is about a national government taking license to do exactly as it pleases with people and their possessions while keeping those same people away from their personal property. The guns are just the political vote-getting tool.

Anyone, I mean anyone, who sees nothing wrong with this is a patsy and a fool and you deserve to have all your shit taken, your rights stripped and to be ushered onto a train to work in a distant factory for the good of the State and the benefit of the greater society of which you are a mere cog.

We should take pity on them and give them their guns back (without bullets). Of course, then they have to be herded into the gas chambers. What else would you expect in Nazi Germany?

Even if they get their guns back, what are they going to do with them ? Their homes are apparently flooded out. Are they going to go on a hunting trip ? They probably have greater things to worry about at the moment than where their guns are currently located.

Why so concerned about the fact that guns are controlled in Canada ... you don't exactly have the best of records back at home.

... maybe you should be more concerned about the fact your government is spying on your European allies ... (and yourselves).

... they apparently think there are still Nazi's in Germany
