Sounds like we need to arrange an online (VASSAL) training session. If I set one up, say in late July, would people be interested in watching? We could also record it and archive it somewhere for people to watch.

Hi Jay,

Sounds interesting but having just "finally" retired will be on holiday out your way most of July (in Campbell River by this time next week, then Victoria, back up to Qualicum [13-14], over to Sunshine Coast, Vancouver to visit daughter and go to the Folk Festival, home on the 27th).

Ciao,

Rick

Hi,

Immo, TCS is not difficult to play ... is loooooooong to play.
When u've memorized tables and modifiers, things go very well and easy.
U and your opponent need only patience and time, and tons of die rolls ...

I think there is no contradiction. I would say that the responders feel that examples of play will make TCS more popular = more players, and/or provided examples answer their questions "Are we playing it correctly?"

It's very interesting to note that only 2 out of 14 responders own just 1 TCS game. But 7 out of 14 have yet to finish even one scenario. So, at least 5 guys own 2 or more TCS games without ever playing a scenario through.

I belong to this category. With one TCS game, you will get a nice map of a battle area, detailed OoB (through counters and listed in spec rulebook), detailed history and designer's notes. It is better than a book. And an idea that you can even play this one day is a big plus
And of course that command system with op sheets together with a platoon level is very tempting.
