does the great wall protect also against diplomat - ie. does it increase the value of your building when the diplomat wants to exchange?

I would say yes as well. Even though destroying a district isn't the same thing as exchanging districts, the mechanics of what the Warlord and Diplomat lead me to believe that's what the Great Wall protects against..... hostile takeovers.

no it does not. However, as the other replies chose to play it otherwise it is up to you before the game starts.
