I saw mention of a PC version of Conflict of Heroes and thought I’d share some work-in-progress of my fan-made, iPad app.

Now, just to point out, this is not an official game in any way. I have no intention of releasing it on the app store or giving it away. It’s purely a goal of mine to translate a game I love onto a device I love and be able to play against some decent AI. Think of it as a big “thank you” to Academy games and Uwe Eickert for making such an awesome series. Long may it continue.

I also need to thank a close colleague of mine who helped with the artwork. We grabbed images off the web and scanned in the boards but also created a wealth of new content just to get it to where it current stands today. There’s still a fair amount of work to do (mainly the cards and the actual AI) but thought it looked cool enough to show now.

Both my colleague and I have since left our jobs and are currently in the process of starting up a new company (a video game developer at that). Unfortunately, we’ll probably be focusing on a different genre to that of Conflict of Heroes so I’m not too sure whether this app will ever be completely finished (it’s already taken enough evenings and weekends). But, hey, you never know. Maybe someone can twist our arms...
