This is part 1/4 of my iPad-version review series of 4 classic boardgames.

Carcassonne for iPad/iPhone is a sleek and well designed version of the classic tile-laying game.

It plays fast and since the game is so simple, it works very well as a hotseat game. I haven't tried the network game or much of the online mode so I have to get back on those someday.

The game has many kind of bots to play against and they really differ from each other.

There is also a solitaire-mode for an added single player experience that is nice, but I haven't played it much. You try to make roads and towns from 2 up in order with certain pattern of tiles.

It's not perfect, but very near it. I don't like the price of the app (8 €) and the fact that there is NO expansions for it... not even to buy! This game would be _ideal_ for these but the makers of the game seem to take their time o get the expansions into the game.

Carcassonne is a good game on the iPad and highly recommended!
