Haunting Ground

Fiona must be guided through Belli Castle, its grounds, and outbuildings until she can find a way to escape. Along the way, players must solve puzzles, unlock doors and evade, hide or attempt to fight back against the castle's inhabitants. Fiona is accompanied by Hewie, an American white Shepherd dog. The two must work as a team to solve certain puzzles and outwit their pursuers.

Trivia:

• Haunting Ground received a small run and has never been reprinted, ported or remastered. It is now one of the most expensive PS2 games.
• Hewie is an American White Shepard, but often mistakenly identified as a German Shepard due to the similar build and lineage in both breeds. There is no such thing as a 'white German Shepherd' recognized anywhere, and 'white' is a color outright banned for the German Shepard breed in native Germany.
  • The player can apply a 'black & tan' German Shepard skin to Hewie that changes his AI behavior, making him more aggressive to enemies but harder to control.
