User Summary:
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter is a role-playing game that has you exploring a land practically devoid of all light, a series of underground bunkers deep below the planet's surface in an industrialized, post-apocalyptic environment. Players work their way up towards the surface in this claustrophobic, tense environment, encountering friendly characters and battling enemies all the way. The main character, Ryu, can once again transform into dragon form, albeit at a great cost. Every time Ryu turns into a dragon or performs a powerful move, it raises the "D-counter" and once it hits 100% you die. There's no way to lower the D-counter so you have to weight how great your need for his extra power is in any given circumstance.
Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter was released for the PS2 in 2003 in the US.
