Midwinter

User Summary:

"Daylight never came over Moscow" is one of the foreboding lines in the game's back story. This is not a post-nuclear game; it is set against the collapse of civilization begun by a meteor strike triggering an ice age. In this, one of the original sandbox games, the player's avatar Captain John Stark tries to defeat the army of General Masters before the invaders can take total control of the island of Midwinter, once part of the Azores chain.

This is a first person adventure/shooter. The game combines a lot of genres by allowing the player to travel the island on foot or any available vehicle. Through diplomacy the agent tries to draw other character onto his side, destroying enemy installations via sabotage or direct combat.
