Comanche: Maximum Overkill

User Summary

The first of NovaLogic's Comanche series and the first game to use the Voxel engine, which was a technological landmark in rendering lifelike terrain and realistic objects, like adversaries, buildings, vehicles and the like.

The game features the Boeing/Sikorsky RAH-66 Comanche light attack helicopter. (The Comanche helicopter program was launched in 1983 by the US Army, but ultimately cancelled in 2004, so no Comanche has ever been in operational combat duty.)

The game leans more towards action/arcade than towards hardcore flightsim, as the helicopter can take massive amounts of damage while employing unrealistically accurate weapon systems.

Main gameplay is focused around the campaign, set in the war against drugs in 2002. It contains 20 missions.
